Black-Owned Brunch Spots in Atlanta

by Nadeen
April 27, 2022
A A
black owned brunch spots in atlanta, black owned restaurants in atlanta, brunch in atlanta

There are several Black-Owned brunch spots in Atlanta. With several to choose from across the city, I decided to make this list. You will find yourself spending hours with friends while drinking mimosas and chicken and waffles. Some Black-owned brunch spots in Atlanta take reservations but some do not. This means that you may also end up on long lines on the weekends. If you are able to go to the ones that offer brunch during the week, I highly suggest doing so. If you are looking for more than brunch, check out my list of Black-owned restaurants in Atlanta.

1. Grits and Eggs Breakfast Kitchen: Located on Cumberland Blvd Vinings, good for breakfast and brunch, open 7 days a week

  • Can you tell I’m excited to go back to my homeland of Jamaica 🇯🇲?!!! I even had my nails and toes polished in green and I’m wearing as much green gold and black as possible since it’s Jamaica Independence weekend!!

Where are my Jamaican friends & followers? Raise your hands in the comments!

  • FINALLY!! I’m going back to JAMAICA 🇯🇲!
Jamaica is my homeland and I haven’t been since 2015 and even prior to that they were for sad occasions. This time it’s for a family reunion during @visitjamaica 60th Independence weekend!! 🇯🇲🇯🇲
I can’t wait to get updated pictures and videos of this beautiful island 🏝

Jamaica is good food, good vibes, it’s rum punch 🍹 and reggae and dancehall, it’s jerk chicken and ackee & salt fish and beautiful beaches and soft sand. It’s waterfalls and cliffs and sunsets 🌆

Have you been to Jamaica? What was your favorite experience?

  • #winedownwednesday in Atlanta @3parkswine w @acorkintheroad and @thehiphopsomm tasting Portuguese and Cali wines! My favorite was the Vinho Verde which I drank the entire time I was in Portugal, but they ran out!

I ran into so many of my wine friends including @vinoandllc @leliyg_wine @diversifiedvines @lotusvinewine and my cousin @janene0 and her family even joined in on the fun.

Definitely check out this Black female owned wine 🍷 shop when you are in Atlanta. There is a great variety of wine and a lot of Black-owned brands. I picked up the @houseofbrown.wine Rosé I ❤️the Chardonnay they put out last year so I’m looking forward to trying it. And I also bought the @lafeterose Blanc de Blancs. This brand is famous for the Rosé but this is a white wine.

Have you been to @3parkswine ? They also have growlers which is pretty cool. Shout out to the owner @sarahpierre1 who is also a mentor for the @huetothecor_atl

  • #mondaymood❤️
SPECIAL BY @lizzobeeating Have you listened to the album yet? I’m going thru the 🎶 songs and the track “Special” is on constant rotation!!
The lyrics are so needed right now. There have been several suicides reported in the media and the medical community and I often wonder if we just stopped and told people how special they are, if we just stopped and checked on the “strong” friends, the ones that on the outside seemed to have it all together, if we just stopped judging people and accepted them for who they are….maybe things would be different.

If you are feeling down listen 🎧 to this song and remind yourself that no matter what anyone else says-you are special. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are special!!!

  • What’s your answer to this question about my home airport in Atlanta?! I have gotten so used to it over the past 10 years that I tend to defend it lol

But I flew thru @visitdetroit airport the last few days and it was so pleasant! First of all, you did not have to take a train to get to your gate. Granted the walk was long to my gate this morning but they had people movers which made it go faster and I needed some exercise 😆😆
They did have cute red Delta trains that you could take that were within the terminals.
It was less crowded. Whew
The shuttles to the rental car lots were right outside and the lots were not far.
And one of the things I hate the most about our airport now is how far you have to walk to get to Uber/Lyft. It is just not safe during later hours.

And some astonishing facts about the Atlanta airport from 2019 data:
✈️ it sees 107 million passengers a year, over 300,000 a day and employs more than 60K people. I can tell by the Clear & TSA lines getting longer lol

What’s your favorite airport in the world?! I haven’t been there yet but Singapore 🇸🇬 Changi Airport is often listed as #1. I saw Doha and Tokyo Haneda on recent lists. I loved the Dubai airport because I didn’t hours in the @emirates business class lounge!!! 😍😍
