I hope you have been enjoying the Black History Month Series covering Afro-Latino Countries! In this post I will be featuring black travelers to Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico! Have you been to either country? I wrote a controversial post last year on Dominican Republic. It was entitled “Should you boycott travel to the Dominican Republic?” This was based on their immigration poilicies on Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent. However, Dominican republic is a beautiful country with friendly people and an interesting history. Enjoy the slide show below of black travelers in Dominican Republic!

Love the photos! Most of my family comes from Puerto Rico, but of course I must have much more than that. I want to do a DNA test to find every location and then take an ancestry adventure for six months (or more).

Wow! That would be an amazing trip! I need to go back and explore more of the island!
